Developing film
Film development labs are becoming increasingly rare. There is only one company left in Eastern Canada offering this service. If you choose to have your film developed in the United States, find out what precautions you need to take when transporting it. Exposed film is sensitive to X-rays, and your images could be seriously damaged at customs. Transfer prices and the quality of the work performed depend on the experience of the staff and the performance of the equipment used. Someone who wants to digitize a family movie onto DVD will not have the same technical constraints as a filmmaker who wants to integrate film footage into a high-definition post-production chain.
